Fantasy Week 2 - The Little-Wood show rolls on!
Despite the weather finally becoming a little more agreeable, the owners of third team players continue to be frustrated due to a bye for the side this week. This means that the thirds are going to enter June without playing a single League Fixture! It is only marginally better news for first team assets, with their low scoring hammering not providing many players with significant points before the end of May.
With Shaun Little and Matt Wood once again providing the most points for fantasy owners, It is unsurprising that the top 5 of the table remains relatively unchanged, although Rich Barnett with the weeks highest individual score moves above Matt Jackson at the top, in large part thanks to selecting Little as his captain. Also of note in the top half is Harrison Clark's team, a late replacement entered in the league this week who has made a solid start.
The bottom half of the table, perhaps concerningly, includes all three Saturday captains and the club chairman! Pete White climbs from last place with a positive week 2 total leaving Dan Pownall to languish at the bottom of the league, managing to lose four points from his week 1 score.
As alluded to previously, Shaun Little and Matt Wood extend their leads at the top of the Batsman and All Rounder standings and Pete White maintains the bowling lead albeit with Matt Jackson moving to within 15 points thanks to his own 3 wicket-haul. Notable addition to the league Will Harries, who will obviously not appear in any sides until after the June transfer window, moves to second place in the all rounder category but is nearly 200 points behind Little's early season tally.
With all three sides due to play next week and the weather finally starting to look a bit more cricket friendly, next week will surely see a few changes in the league table and hopefully a few more points across all sides at the club.
